DEBIT CARD FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

    1. Why does my debit card not work? Have you activated Clay County State Bank's new debit card? You should have recently received a new debit card in the mail. This new debit card has a new number and will need to be activated. The old debit card with SHAZAM Chek on it will not work after August 19, 2018.

    2. Will my old card work if I haven't activated the new card yet? No, unfortunately your old card will not work after August 19, 2018.

    3. What is the phone number to activate my new card? Using your new card, you may activate your card by calling 1-800-992-3808. The system will ask you for the primary card holders last 4 social security numbers. Enter the last four digits of the social security number for the name that appears on the card.

    4. How can I tell which account a card is associated with? You can use the card at an ATM to check the balance associated with the card. Or you may call 618-665-3314 and we can assist you.

    5. How can I tell new card from the old card? The old card numbers start with 5511 XXXX XXX. The new cards DO NOT have SHAZAM CHEK written on them.

    6. Can I use the same PIN number as the old card? Yes when you activate the new card you will be given an opportunity to choose your PIN.

    7. Can I use the same PIN on two cards? While we don't encourage you to use the same PIN on multiple cards, the system will allow it.

    8. Will my new debit card have the same number as my old card? No, your new debit card has a new number associated with it. Be sure to update any automatic debit card recurring transactions you may have.

    9. I received two cards on the same account. Do I have to activate both? Yes, each card has a different number and will need to be activated if you want to use it.

    10. The expiration dates on my two cards don't match? Yes this is normal, cards issued may not have the same expiration date.
